Mother's Day Beach Outing

For Mother's Day, we met YaYa and Tom for lunch and then headed to the beach for the afternoon.  We visited Huegenot Beach again and didn't have as great of an experience as the first time we went.  Since we were there in the afternoon, the tide was coming in...and it was coming in quickly.  It seemed like we just kept moving our stuff away from the water the whole afternoon instead of just relaxing, but the girls still had a great time.

Anna wanted to make sure she didn't get any sun in her eyes!

Since the tide was coming is so far, there was a lot of shallow water for Aubrey to play in!

Anna likes to be a little mommy to Alexandra!

My First Oreo!

Alexandra certainly enjoyed her first Oreo!  She eyed it for a couple of milliseconds and then chowed down!

She is such stinker!

As I was posting this, I remembered taking a picture of Aubrey eating her first Oreo.  Yes, I obviously think that a first Oreo is a major milestone to capture with a photo!

Aubrey was almost 15 months old in this picture.  Lucky Alexandra got her first Oreo at 11 months!  I don't remember Anna's first Oreo or if I got a picture!

Aubrey Models Her Custom Play Clothes

I'm loving the sewing!  I completed another outfit for Aubrey!  This time I sewed her some shorts and made her an applique shirt to match!

I really am enjoying sewing, but it's very time consuming especially since I'm just learning how.  I haven't made as many things as I would like, but I have tons of ideas for outfits I'm planning to make.  Hopefully I will pull off three matching outfits for the girls soon!  For now, I'm concentrating on clothes for Aubrey since she's in the most need for new clothes.

Mother's Day Pictures!

I dressed the girls up for a photo shoot for the picture frames we were making for the grandmothers for Mother's Day.  These type of photo shoots usually frustrate me beyond reason because I'm trying to capture an 11 month old, 2 year old and 4 year old in a pefect smiling picture, which never happens.  However, this time....I got a great picture of all three.  It wasn't without some tears from Anna and some major silly noise making to get Alexandra's attention, but you would never know it by looking at the pictures!

I also took a couple of good individual shots of the girls...well, Aubrey and Anna.  Alexandra wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a silly (or smiling) picture of her, so we'll have to plan a photo shoot another day for her!

Of course we had to get some silly pictures too!  Aubrey always loves to see her silly faces!
