Spring Break Fun at the Beach!

Our family was super excited that our niece, Lydia, got to come and spend her spring break with us! What's spring break without a trip to the beach? We headed to Mickler's Beach for this trip because I've found that it's not nearly as crowded on the weekdays and it's nice to have a big parking lot with showers to rinse off before getting in the car to come home.

We packed our lunches and stayed out there for a good 4-5 hours!   My girls definitely take after their dad with their love for the beach!!!

I forgot to take my camera with me, so all I got were a couple of shots with my phone.  I'm still trying to figure out how to take a decent picture on my phone...oh, well, I don't think my photography skills will ever be what I'd like them to be!!!

Anna Learns to Ride her Bike!!!

It's always a momentous occasion with a child learns to ride their bike without training wheels!  Anna learned how to this past January! She is 4 years old and a pro...maybe a little too confident at times!

She's got it...and Daddy has a broken back!

 She loves it!!!

A Christmas Card Picture in the Making!

I am far from a professional photographer, which is why I have to take a million (and that's only a small exaggeration) of pictures just to get one good shot to use for our Christmas cards.  It's always funny to me when I look back over the sequence of pictures taken!

Alexandra was cracking me up with her faces and smiles for these!

We did two different "photo shoots" and I took almost 200 pictures before getting one for our Christmas cards!  I always have to let them do some funny faces and act silly just to keep them interested and happy!

But we finally got a great one!!!!

I also decided I was going to make our Christmas cards this year!  Yes, it saved me money, but it was time consuming and I was "over" them well before I was done!  They did turn out super, super cute and I got many wonderful comments on them.

I should have taken a picture of one of ours, but I did save some to put in each f the girl's memory box!
